Oscar Wilde was the son of an Irish physician. His father, Sir William Wilde, a specialist in eye and ear disease, anticorruption and writer, had three children in a first relationship. His mother, Jane Francesca Elgee, was a poet (he wrote revolutionary poems under the pseudonym Speranza) and a journalist. During the school, Oscar excelled in the study of classics, Greek language and drawing, earning numerous prizes and scholarships. After brilliant studies at Trinity College Dublin, hear lectures aesthetics of John Ruskin at Oxford University, where he distinguished by its refined taste, elegant and stylish clothes dandy life. After graduating, in 1878, he moved to London.
